WHAT IS PROTECT THE HIPPOS MINI-GAME & HOW DO I PLAY?

As you progress through the game you will find that on the top of the main game screen you will find that on your milestone progression bar, a small Hippo icon will appear. This indicates that you will soon get the chance to play Protect The Hippo mini-game. 

Once you have successfully completed the relevant milestone you will notice that the Hippo on El Patron’s estate has become highlighted. Tap on the Hippo to access the Mini-Operations menu. 

That said, you can access the Save The Hippo mini-game from the main game screen. Upon entering the main game you will find on the middle right-hand side of the screen the drop-down menu, tap on it to reveal the Mini Operations Menu button. Tap on the button.

Upon entering the Mini-Operations menu you will find what Mini-Games you can play in as well as how much time may be required to pass until you can play another mini-game (highlighted by the red square in the below image). In this instance you have earned access to the Protect The Hippos mini-game, tap on it to enter the game.

Now you are shown which levels are available to play, as you complete chapters in the main game you unlock more stages to play! You are also shown how many ‘lives’ you have (highlighted by the red square) in your inventory.

Tapping on the little Heart icon will open the Lives Inventory where you can see (A & C) whether your lives inventory is full, (B) how many Gold Bars you have to spend as well as how much it would cost you to enjoy unlimited lives for a set duration of time (indicated by the red square). 

Tapping on the level available to you will take you to the Mini Game. Tap on the button to proceed. 

Upon entering the level you are provided with (A) the timer indicating how much time you have remaining in addition to the rewards able to be earned (indicated by the golden stars) (B) the number of tries you have remaining (max capacity is 5), (C) the seconds you have remaining, (D) the return button which takes back to the level selection menu & (E) the retry button. In order to successfully complete each level you must draw a barrier that will protect our amphibious friend from the fiendish flies attacking him. You press and hold on the screen, then move your finger in the desired shape in order to create the respective barrier as indicated in the below image by the finger pointer. 

Upon successfully completing the level and saving our doggy you are greeted by the victory screen where you find (A) the return button, (B) the retry button, and (C) proceed to the next level button. You also are shown (2) the reward you have earned which is highlighted by the red square in the below image as well as (1) the efficiency at which you completed the level.
